Silver Wings program gains swift popularity

12 November 2004

Origin Pacific and Grey Power's Silver Wings program gains swift popularity.

Last week, Origin Pacific Airways and Nelson Grey Power Association jointly announced a new promotion called Silver Wings exclusively for Grey Power members nationwide to travel mid-week on Origin Pacific. The program has found it's wings and soared.

Gordon Currie, National Grey Power Board member and President of Grey Power Nelson, reports that in the first week alone of the Silver Wings program, membership with his branch increased exponentially: "We can hardly keep up with the phones!" Mr. Currie elaborates, "whilst all of Origin's special offers and low fares are on offer to the general public, availability can be limited. What Silver Wings does for Grey Power members is offer peace of mind, as with the exception of some statutory holidays, special offers and low fares are guaranteed - even if it's the last seat on the flight they are buying. That's something tangible for us. This is a savings we can count on."

Mike Pero, Origin's Marketing Director says "Silver Wings guarantees that for their travel on Tuesday's , Wednesdays & Thursdays, Grey Power members will not pay more than the second lowest fare (for both flexible and non-flexible fares) that Origin Pacific has on the books. These low fares represent a discount of between 50% - 70% off the most expensive fares. Members just need to quote the special Silver Wing Deal number at time of booking and show their current Grey Power membership at time of Check In."
