Brumby's on the rise in New Zealand with 21st bakery

Bakery franchise operator Brumby's has opened its 21st store in New Zealand at Blenheim as the company maintains its ambitious roll-out of stores across the country.

Another four stores will open in the next 12 months with a target of at least 60 in New Zealand as part of Brumby's expansion plans.

New Zealand Operations Manager Rachel Casley said while Brumby's arrived in New Zealand more than 10 years ago, it had experienced unprecedented growth since 1998 when it became 'Master Franchised'.

"Since then, the New Zealand operation has opened 19 stores,'' Ms Casley said.

"And while Brumby's now has 300 stores across Australia and New Zealand, the New Zealand operation has been the top performing region three years in a row with more than 40,000 transactions a week.''

Ms Casley said customers were increasingly attracted to Brumby's bread - with its range of more than 150 varieties - because they had no additives or preservatives.

"With the increasing focus on health - especially among families - customers know they can rely on Brumby's bread,'' she said.
