Shotover Jet Limited Joint Venture Consolidates Presence
in Abel Tasman
On Friday December 3, Shotover Jet Limited purchased a majority shareholding in Kaiteriteri Kayaks and is operating the business as a joint venture with the previous owners and in conjunction with Marahau based Shotover Jet Limited owned company, Aqua Taxis.
Established in 1994 by Cymen Crick and Nick Morrison, Kaiteriteri Kayaks operates sea kayaking trips in the Abel Tasman National Park which is renowned internationally for its outstanding and unique sea kayaking. The business has built a strong brand and a reputation for high energy entertainment while exceeding customer expectations.
Shotover Jet Limited is based in Queenstown and is expert in operating quality tourism operations. It now operates eight tourism businesses in New Zealand including iconic brands such as Shotover Jet Queenstown, Dart River Safaris and Rainbow Springs and Huka Jet in the North Island.
Shotover Jet Limited has owned leading Abel Tasman tourism operation Aqua Taxis since April 2004. As part of the new arrangement, the Kaiteriteri Kayak previous owners will take a shareholding in Shotover’s Aqua Taxis business.
Shotover Jet Limited’s Chief Executive Adrian Januszkiewicz said today that the acquisition cements the company’s position and demonstrates its long term commitment to tourism in the Abel Tasman National Park.
