New Bishopdale Branch Extends Harveys' Network
New Bishopdale Branch Extends Harveys South Island
Network
Harveys Real Estate has doubled its presence in the South Island with the addition of a second branch in Bishopdale, Christchurch.
Topp Realtors owner Gavin Topp is taking his high profile Farrington Ave branch, previously with First National, across to Harveys. The change takes effect on January 20.
Harveys Executive Director Ross Hunter says he regards the addition as an exciting opportunity to develop the brand. “We are delighted that the Topp Realtor team has joined the network,” he says. “It is an ideal platform for growing the Harveys brand and increasing awareness in Christchurch and the rest of the South Island.
This is the second First National branch Harveys has picked up in Christchurch and follows the Diamond First National Hornby office, which joined Harveys last September.
“While we are pleased to increase the number of branches nationally, our focus is more on quality than quantity - and the Bishopdale team possess a wealth of experience and knowledge that are the principal characteristics of a successful branch.”
Gavin Topp is a highly respected industry personality with more than 35 years of local real estate experience. Gavin is active in the community through chaplaincy work and is a civil and church celebrant. He is renowned for his commitment to leadership, innovative teaching style, and energy and enthusiasm.
He says the move was made on the basis of philosophy and commercialism. “Harveys’ focus on people and property is the same as what I believe in.” “And sometimes you have to give up the good to embrace the best.”
Gavin has also been impressed with the leadership and corporate culture of the Harveys team. “Harveys is a dynamic and growing organisation with a clear management style dedicated to meeting and reaching people.”
Topp Realtors currently has a staff of 11, but Gavin says that he expects that number to increase to 14 within the next few months. Located near key Christchurch development areas and features such as Burnside High, he believes there will be continued growth right through 2005.
Mr Hunter says he is keen to support the branch’s winning style. “We intend to take full advantage of the excellent relationships the branch staff already have with their clients and develop them through additional resources from our network.”
“This is a great opportunity and we look forward to building a strong partnership with the region and seeing it continue to flourish.”
