AA Directions Tops Readership Poll in New Zealand

AA Directions magazine has again topped a nationwide readership poll, and continues its run as the most widely read magazine in New Zealand.
The latest figures from the AC Nielsen Nationwide Readership Survey show that AA Directions now has a readership of 972,000 - up from 920,000 a year ago.

Greg Hunting, General Manager AA Corporate Communications, said the AC Nielsen Readership survey places AA Directions ahead of NZ Woman's Weekly, TV Guide and Skywatch.

"We're delighted with the latest readership results. Not only has AA Directions maintained its position as the most widely read magazine in NZ, we have significantly increased our lead over other magazines," Mr. Hunting said.

In 2001 the magazine underwent an extensive overhaul, adopting a broader lifestyle approach with a wider appeal to a larger audience.

"Directions has become an important part of being an AA Member and we are determined to continue to expand its relevancy for all Members and others who read it.

"We believe we offer a quality magazine which is interesting and accessible to our readers. The results of the AC Nielsen Nationwide Readership Survey confirm the success of this approach," Mr. Hunting said.

The next edition of AA Directions will be distributed from the end of March.
