Sales Record for Popular Christchurch Beach Suburb For Release:
The burgeoning popularity of Christchurch’s developing eastern beach suburbs has seen what is believed to be a new record set for residential property in the eastern part of Christchurch. The Neptune Place executive home recently sold for just on $730,000 surpassing the previous Northshore record of $517,000 by over $200,000.
Marketed by Peter Wasley from Harcourts Parklands, the 5 bedroom 8 year old David Reid home was not only immaculately presented, as a beach front property with water views it had the key ingredient recognised internationally by property buyers in today’s market. Mr Wasley said Northshore was an increasingly popular area of Christchurch with the rugged natural coastline of sand dunes and native grasses appealing to many buyers.
Having managed property sales in the area for over five years now, Mr Wasley said, “Northshore is without a doubt now a premium sought-after suburb of Christchurch,” with the prices being achieved consistently rivalling the more traditional popular suburbs.
Co-owner of Harcourts Parklands, Andrew Swift said, “When the first stages of the Northshore subdivision opened a number of years ago it was popular with those looking to combine a beach lifestyle with a modern home which up until then had been difficult to find in suburban Christchurch.” Being within a few hundred metres of an uncrowded surf beach, golf course, and forest plantation with recreational facilities added to the package.
Mr Swift said, “Today, the resurgence of interest in Northshore is unbelievable. Recent growth in the area, global popularity of coastal real estate, and strong investment in what was a lower profile suburb has seen the value of land skyrocket and the quality of dwellings clearly surpass what could have ever been imagined a few years ago.”
