Masport’s Outside Edge Sure To Clean Up

A new range of garden accessories provides Masport with the cutting edge

New Zealand lawn and garden leader, Masport Limited, has launched a new range of outdoor garden accessories making quality power equipment affordable for the home user.

The Outside Edge signals Masport’s entry into the garden accessories market with four new products, an electric 3n1 Trimmer Kit, an electric Chainsaw, as well as a High Speed Chipper and Quiet Shredder, to ensure there’s an appliance for even the most demanding garden task.

These follow hot on the heels of Masport’s Garden Groom - the world’s first hedge trimmer that compacts as it cuts - which was launched earlier this year to an enthusiastic response from dealers and consumers nationwide.

Continuing on the theme of Masport’s pioneering innovation, the new Cordless 3n1 Trimmer Kit is the most versatile trimming kit seen in New Zealand. Not only can it trim grass and weeds like a standard dual line trimmer, but its telescopic shaft extends with an adjustable head which can be set at any angle up to 90 degrees, meaning the most difficult trimming jobs aren’t out of reach.

If required, the line trimmer head can instantly be replaced by a hedge and scrub cutter or pruner shears attachments for those more delicate tasks. These attachments can even be used on their own or with clip-on wheels to run along the ground for the ultimate in functionality. The 3n1 Trimmer Kit comes with two 18 volt batteries and includes a rapid 1 hour charger.

The Outside Edge Chainsaw offers a tough, reliable electric machine powerful enough for DIY users but with added safety and convenience features. A low kickback chain and chain brake makes handling easier for the recreational gardener.

Two electric shredders bring what was once equipment solely for the contractor within the reach of the home. The 2400w High Speed Chipper shreds branches up to 40mm, while the auto feed Quiet Shredder produces mulch with quiet efficiency. Safety is naturally paramount, and both shredders feature double insulation for operator security and auto overload cutout.

Masport celebrates its 95th anniversary this year, and Sales Manager Steve Huddleston says he is very excited about the launch of the Outside Edge at the same time as the significant milestone, and confident the range will prove popular with New Zealand’s huge recreational garden following.
