McDonald's launches new DeliChoices menu range
Freshly toasted deli-style rolls will be launched at McDonald's restaurants nationwide in April.
Quality ingredients, such as chargrilled vegetables, deli-style meats, cheeses and dressings, fill freshly toasted rolls that are made when the customer places an order.
The new DeliChoices range comprises seven products; Beef 'n' BBQ, Chicken Caesar, Chicken Tandoori, Classic Chicken, Italian, Classic Ham and Vege.
In keeping with McDonald's reputation for speed and convenience, the new DeliChoices range will also be available through drive-thru.
McDonald's Managing Director, Gráinne Troute, says the new DeliChoices menu is part of the company's commitment to offer something for everyone while remaining both convenient and affordable.
"DeliChoices is a new variety of quality food that provides a point of difference from the traditional burgers on the menu.
"Coupled with our revised SaladsPlus range, we are continuing our commitment to offering customers a wide selection of products when they visit our restaurants.
"We understand the importance of evolving and, through listening to New Zealanders, we're making changes to our menu that reflect that demand," says Ms. Troute.
Over the last 18 months, McDonald's has led the quick service industry with a number of initiatives. The introduction of a vegetable oil blend in all its restaurants has significantly reduced the saturated fat levels in its fries.
A redesigned nutrition brochure and website offers customers comprehensive and updated information about McDonald's menu.
The company took its commitment to providing customers with information one step further by printing nutrition information on the back of all 17 million traymats used in restaurants annually.
In addition fruit bags containing apple slices are available nationwide as an alternative to Happy Meal French Fries for no extra cost, or as a separate snack purchase. Younger customers also enjoy a wider range of drinks, including milk and pump water.
DeliChoices rolls out to 137 McDonald's restaurants nationwide over the next four weeks.
