Growth Sees New Senior Appointment At Kapiti

Kapiti Fine Foods CEO Greig Shearer has announced the appointment of an experienced dairy industry manager, Malcolm Beardsley, to the newly created position of Supply Chain Manager. The new position comes at time where development and innovation have seen many positive changes at a company which has operations in Palmerston North and Paraparaumu.

Mr Shearer said that Kapiti had reached a stage in its development where it required the specialist experience of a supply chain manager.

Kapiti produces and markets speciality cheeses, fresh milk and super premium ice cream. “The business has grown rapidly, and we are at the stage we require a supply chain manager to ensure we maintain and improve our levels of customer service,” Mr Shearer said.

The role of Supply Chain Manager involves the planning and executing of the issues involved with suppliers, the production and processing of materials, through to the final delivery of products in full and on time. The role also requires the ability to achieve processing efficiencies while increasing customer satisfaction.

Malcolm Beardsley brings to Kapiti with a wealth of experience from senior positions at major NZ companies, including Pacific Brands Ltd, Montana Wines, and Kiwi Co-Operative Dairies Ltd. He has a background in FMCG and the dairy industry which will prove invaluable for Kapiti.

He starts on April 18, and is relocating from Auckland to the new position in Palmerston North.
