Hyundai bubbles up in Rotorua

Look for big things from Hyundai in Rotorua.

An exciting new dealership named Rotorua Hyundai has just been opened in the thermal city.

This new business is from the owners of the very successful Wings and Wheels in neighbouring Taupo.

In just one year that dealership has rocketed the Hyundai brand to number one in the Taupo region YTD March 2005, with 19.0% share.

“It’s just exactly one year since we opened in Taupo,” commented Wings and Wheels Dealer Principal Rick Cooper. “Hyundai is clearly the brand for this area.”

“We have the right range of vehicles at the right price, and local people tell us they like dealing with our people.

“We are already selling a lot of vehicles into Rotorua … just recently we supplied five to the District Council there … so this is a logical next step.

“With the great new models Hyundai has in the range, and more to come, buyers can’t help but be impressed,” he added.

Mr. Cooper says Rotorua Hyundai has started with a strong sales operation in Rotorua and he is now concentrating on the service program.

“Rick Cooper heads a strong, dynamic team and their barnstorming of the Taupo market is a real success story,” said the General Manager of Hyundai Automotive NZ, Philip Eustace.

“We are delighted with this move into Rotorua and we expect more good-news stories as people switch on to the Hyundai message of safety and reliability at a good price.

“We have not been represented in Rotorua, just as we were not in Taupo before Wings and Wheels opened.

“The Hyundai message is spreading fast.”
