April Ad of Month Winner

RNZFB (Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind) Guide Dog Appeal 2005 newspaper ad is the NAB’s April Ad of Month Winner. The ad was created by Saatchi & Saatchi Wellington and media placed by Starcom

Judges agreed the ad clearly delivered a simple message via a quirky visual and straightforward appeal. Its approach was commended for communicating a serious message in a lighter manner

Judging took place in Wellington and the panel included Scott Henderson, Senior Creative, Clemenger BBDO; Bob Moore, Creative Director, Frank Advertising; Anton Hart, Senior Creative, Y&R; Cheryl Kortink, Advertising Director, The Dominion Post; Euan Robertson, Lecturer, Massey University

The winning ad will be sponsored into 2006 Axis Awards, and the winning creative team, Steve Cooper and Nigel Richardson from Saatchi, will receive Ticketek vouchers to see a show or concert of their choice

The ad will also appear in the “What’s New” section of May AdMedia

Advertisers, agencies and member newspapers are encouraged to nominate newspaper ads. All newspaper ads booked through the NAB are eligible to win Ad of Month
