Unprecedented Six in a Row for Canterbury Real Estate Legend
Exceptional focus, commitment to customer excellence, and a huge capacity for work have again proved to be what it takes to retain the top spot in Harcourts Canterbury for real estate legend, Alison Aitken from the Harcourts Grenadier Christchurch City office.
Ms Aitken was announced as Harcourts Canterbury's No. 1 Sales Consultant for an unprecedented sixth year in a row at the 2004-2005 regional end of year awards yesterday morning with over 530 Harcourts team members in attendance. Announced second and third were Alison Carter from Harcourts Grenadier Ferrymead and Sara Ashcroft from Harcourts Holmwood Fendalton.
Alison Aitken noted that to have again achieved the top spot required more hard work every year and added, “Each year we ask: how can we make the business better?” She also attributed her success to team work within her office, and the wider contribution Harcourts Canterbury Business Owners made to maintain the profile and quality of the Harcourts brand. Ms Aitken was Harcourts' No. 1 New Zealand Sales Consultant from 1999-2003, and achieved No. 2 last year.
CEO of Harcourts New Zealand, Bryan Thomson, described Alison Aitken as the, “heart, soul and face of Harcourts for so many of our team throughout New Zealand. She is known for her generosity in assisting others to grow by sharing her experience, and renowned by her clients for her selfless drive to achieve wonderful results through knowledge and sheer hard work. A classic example of this was following her achievement at our awards function, Alison was straight back at work holding open homes in the afternoon. If we could build the perfect consultant, Ali would be where the mould would come from.”
The ceremony was the third of four regional awards being held around the country over ten days as a build-up to the highly anticipated National Awards which are part of Harcourts’ annual Conference at Sky City Auckland, 23-25 May 2005. Mr Thomson added, “So many of our offices and team members have enjoyed another exceptional year and record achievements.”
