Kiwis can now flock Asia by sea
P&O Cruises has released a selection of fly-cruise packages for New Zealanders keen to sail to exotic Asian destinations.
The packages include return flights to Singapore, a seven-night cruise to some of Asia's most beautiful ports plus one night's pre-cruise accommodation in Singapore. The fares are available from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from $2,600 per person in 4 person accommodation.
Carnival New Zealand manager Shannon Currie says the fly-cruise packages represent great value and apply to bookings on Pacific Sky's first 14 cruises from Singapore between February and May, 2006. The fares are available until July 31, 2005.
Mr Currie says passengers can choose one of two alternating Pacific Sky itineraries from Singapore via either the west coast of the Malay Peninsula to Thailand and Malaysia, or the east coast.
Cruises along the east coast visit the peaceful island of Koh Samui and tranquil Kuantan. They include an exciting overnight stay in Thailand's capital, Bangkok, before returning to Singapore, well known as a shopper's paradise. The west coast itinerary features visits to historic Malacca, bustling Kuala Lumpur, stunning Langkawi, the beautiful resorts of Phuket and the colonial outpost of Penang.
The two seven-night cruises can be combined to create an exotic 14-day voyage visiting all nine ports, with one night's pre-cruise accommodation.
"These new fly-cruise deals make it so easy and so affordable to see the top destinations in south-east Asia," says Mr Currie.
"Instead of visiting only one destination or constantly packing and unpacking as they move between resorts, Kiwi holidaymakers can now unpack once and take in up to five great destinations in just one week while enjoying all the onboard fun and excitement Pacific Sky is renowned for."
The 1,550-passenger Pacific Sky is based in Singapore from February to October 2006, offering 33 Asian cruises tailored for New Zealanders and Australians, with an onboard currency in Australian dollars.
Pacific Sky features two pools, two restaurants, alfresco steakhouse, 24-hour pizzeria, showlounge, cinema, nine bars and lounges, indoor and outdoor nightclub, casino, library and two kids' clubs.
