Where Are South Islanders Surfing Online?

Similar to their North Island counterparts, South Islanders are visiting Xtra and checking out the merchandise on trademe.co.nz. They are however more likely to be visiting tvnz.co.nz and telecom.co.nz than their North Islander compatriots, and their increased likelihood to visit nzdating.co.nz suggests that matters of the heart take precedence – or is population density a factor? Below is a ranking of the top sites visited last week by New Zealanders normally residing in the South Island.

According to the latest data available in Nielsen//NetRatings Netwatch, Kiwis across the country continue to embrace the internet medium. In Q1 2005, 65% of North Islanders and 62% of South Islanders were going online regularly.

These rankings can be customised to the needs of your publications and articles. Additional information outlining data on unique visitors, page impressions, visit durations, and demographics of visitors can also be forwarded for incorporation into articles.
