BIG EXPO FOR SMALL BUSINESS
Small Business Expo shaping up to be largest event for small business
More than a thousand attendees have so far pre-registered for The Small Business Expo, on from 20-22 July at the Auckland Showgrounds, Greenlane.
With over 6,500 attendees expected in total, the event is shaping up to be the largest ever held for small business in New Zealand.
Aimed at business owners, The Small Business Expo has been designed as a ‘business to business marketplace’ for small businesses, providing all types of business solutions under the one roof.
Attendees will be able to check out the latest business products and services available to them, attend business seminars, find a business mentor, set up or benchmark existing contracts with suppliers, and network with thousands of other business owners – in one place, with one visit.
The Microsoft Seminar Series, free and on each day, features 20-minute seminars from experts on a wide range of topics from technology, marketing and HR, to planning, law and finance. Keynote speakers include Mike Pero of Mike Pero Mortgages; Seeby Woodhouse from Orcon Internet and Young Entrepreneur of the Year; and Sharon Kenny founder of Green Acres and new franchise Beauty on Demand.
More than 140 exhibitors are involved, ranging from multinationals to government departments to sole operators, and from a wide range of business sectors including business mentoring, office products, communications, HR and training, telecommunications, accounting, marketing, technology, leasing and finance.
Expo organiser and small
business sector specialist Sarah Trotman said a handful of
exhibitor sites are still available. The Expo is an ideal
environment for commercial operators in the
business-to-business sector to be able to focus exclusively
on business owners, said Sarah.
“Even simply being
able to network with other reputable exhibitors and
translate those new contacts into business relationships is
worth it for exhibitors.”
Entry to the Expo, including the Microsoft Seminar Series, costs $20. To pre-register to attend and receive an e-ticket, go to
