Sample the journey of a lifetime

P&O Cruises is providing more New Zealanders with the opportunity to sample the glamour of a world cruise by offering shorter sectors, discounts of up to 45 per cent and spending money on its globe-trotting British superliners Aurora and Oriana.

The holiday of a lifetime is now available from NZ$3,404 per person for a 13-night leg on one of the liners’ legendary world cruises between January and March 2006.

Sectors from 13 to 100 nights are now available, with onboard spending credits of up to £375 (NZ$975) per person valid for sectors longer than 35 nights.

“P&O Cruises is the world’s oldest cruise line, sailing the seven seas in style for more than 160 years,” says the company’s New Zealand Manager Shannon Currie. “We know lots of Kiwis promise themselves a world cruise one day - our new fare offer is designed to make this ultimate indulgence more affordable sooner rather than later.”

World cruise sectors outlined in a new New Zealand brochure include:

An exotic 16-night leg aboard Aurora from Auckland to Hong Kong via Australia, Thailand and the Philippines departing February 11, 2006, available from NZ$4,583 per person
A tropical 15-night journey south aboard Aurora, from San Francisco to Auckland via Hawaii, Samoa and Fiji, departing January 26, 2006, from NZ$4,142 per person
A classic 46-night line voyage aboard Aurora from Auckland to Southampton, England, sailing on February 11, 2006, available from NZ$13,156 per person. A bonus £125 (NZ$325) spending credit per passenger is also offered on this sector.
An epic 51-night journey from Southampton to Sydney aboard Oriana, via Spain, Greece, Egypt, India, Singapore and Hong Kong, departing 8 January, 2006, available from NZ$13,537 per person.

Tailor-made for world voyages, modern luxury liners Aurora and Oriana offer New Zealanders a classic British cruising experience, with pampered passengers enjoying elegant restaurants, stylish bars, world-class entertainment, sweeping decks, broad promenades and of course traditional, white-glove high teas.

The 1,870-passenger Aurora sails from Southampton on her 80-night circumnavigation of the world on January 7, 2006, with visits to 27 ports including Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin, Acapulco, Honolulu, Bangkok, Mumbai, Cairo and Athens.
