Trans Tasman Bonanza – Pacific Blue $39* Fares

Trans Tasman Bonanza – Pacific Blue $39* Fares

Virgin Blue’s international airline Pacific Blue^ will offer thousands of $39* fares for flights between New Zealand and Australia and has welcomed the impending arrival of yet another player into the Trans Tasman market.

The Pacific Blue fares are up for grabs now and will be on sale until August 10 or until sold out.

Pacific Blue Airlines set up its home base in Christchurch more than one and a half years ago as part of its bid to offer low fares and great service to the people of New Zealand.

Pacific Blue CEO, Tony Marks, said “We are flattered that the competition has recognised that Pacific Blue’s strategy and business plan is the way of the future, in the same way they have recognised the value of Virgin Blue in Australia. They can copy our model, our marketing initiatives, our destinations and even our home base but the one thing they can’t replicate is our airline’s unique culture and our people’s commitment to providing affordable fares and a genuinely friendly service style.”

He continued, “Whilst we wish our competition all the best with their new venture, we are hopeful that the people of Christchurch and New Zealand will continue to support the airline that recognised the importance of Christchurch as a base for its Trans Tasman services one and a half years ago.”

The decision to replace the existing Qantas’ full service airline with its no frills off-shoot will give Pacific Blue the opportunity to step up to the plate and continue providing its high quality level of service for the travelling public.
