Which parties are the most business-friendly?

Business NZ's election conference on 24 August is aimed at getting clear answers from politicians on business-related policies.

Chief Executive Phil O'Reilly says the MPs with most influence over business issues will answer direct questions on what they will do about issues like:

* cutting company tax
* restraining government spending
* improving the RMA
* getting road user charges spent on roads
* fixing the Holidays Act
* whether to have carbon taxes
* and more...

"The politicians will make their case and be available for questions and comments from the floor.

"At the conference Business NZ will release the findings of a two surveys - the first, a survey of more than a thousand businesses on what they want from the election; and the second, a survey of the political parties' business policies.

"Findings from the two surveys will be compared, to determine which parties are the most enterprise-friendly," Mr O'Reilly said.
