Silver Secateurs Winners Announced
Finals of the national Silver Secateurs grapevine pruning competition were held at the Allied Domecq’s Patutahi Estate in Gisborne on Saturday 29 August with regional winners competing in the event.
The Silver Secateurs are conducted as part of the wine industry’s annual Bragato Conference which this year saw over 600 growers, winemakers, researchers and marketers gather in Gisborne, August 24 - 27.
Winners of the Silver Secateurs events were:
- Individual Pruning – Aranna Paul of Hawke’s Bay
- Individual Tying – Alf Peachey of Gisborne
- Team event – Corey Mortimer, Val Manson, and George Barrett of Marlborough.
