In announcing the appointment, NZIF President Jaquetta (Ket) Bradshaw congratulated Dr Sutherland, noting he would bring an impressive array of qualifications and experience to the Registration Board.
“Of particular relevance to the work of the NZIF Registration Board is Dr Sutherland’s experience with governance, accreditation and education.”
The NZIF Registration Board is responsible for maintaining the standards and professionalism of Registered Forestry Consultants and Registered Members within the Institute’s 789 membership throughout New Zealand.
“This ensures that when you engage a Registered Forestry Consultant you know that they have attained standards of expertise and professionalism required by their professional body, and that they are required to abide by those standards and the Institute’s Code of Ethics,” said Ms Bradshaw.
