Wrightson Signs Up To Cadmus Payment Solution

Wrightson Signs Up To Cadmus Winning Payment Solution

Auckland, 26 September 2005 – Cadmus Technology, New Zealand’s leading payment solutions provider today announced that it secured a major contract with Wrightson, one of the country’s iconic corporate names.

Cadmus won the deal to supply Wrightson with a customized and advanced payment solution using point of sale (POS) terminals across all of the company’s stores and outlets throughout New Zealand. Wrightson needed an end to end, flexible and compliant payment solution that could also deliver reliability and the latest in security for their business and customers.

Rob Foley, Supply Liaison Manager for Wrightson says that Cadmus’ approach stood out from the beginning for their flexibility and willingness to find a user -friendly solution that fitted the unique requirements of the business.

“What set Cadmus apart from the others was a level of professionalism, price competitiveness, mobile EFTPOS capability and ability to tailor a payment solution for Wrightson that was perfect for our needs, instead of just trying to sell us a product straight out of the box,” says Foley.

“We were looking for a long-term partner that we could trust and rely on from day one – Cadmus demonstrated that from the start and we know they will help us grow the Wrightson business using a payment solution that is second to none.”

Foley says that Cadmus delivered a payment solution for Wrightson that is based on dial-up access but which also has IP/ broadband capability if the company decides to utilize this connectivity across its network.

“Wrightson had aging equipment which needed to be replaced and future proofed. In addition, the Cadmus solution provided us with the required 5.1 certified equipment from the day it was rolled out to the stores so that it is now fully compliant with the new security mandate that will be required across the entire banking and payments infrastructure.”

Nathan Barnett, Corporate and Integrated Sales Manager for Cadmus says that finding a solution for Wrightson was primarily a matter of listening to what was needed, and being prepared to think outside the square to find the right technology application.

“We knew that Wrightson were using a payment infrastructure that was based on dedicated phone lines which was costing them a lot of money so we decided to piggy back a solution that was capable of also using their Wide Area Network (WAN) and the Cadmus network to create a virtual circuit which reduced set up and operating costs if this was required.”

“This meant that we were able to provide a payment solution where we bundled the Cadmus products within the Wrightson current system which meant an efficient use of their existing resources, as well as giving them the capability to add as many additional units or applications as their business expands.”

Barnett also says the deal with Wrightson represents another testament to Cadmus’ success as the preferred supplier for the payments industry, as well as demonstrating the values that set the company apart as a provider of technology solutions.

“The Cadmus way is to understand what our customers want that best fits their business and then work out with our team how to come up with the best and most cost effective, robust and advanced payments solutions. We believe in providing our customers with the latest payments solutions so that their investment in us is all about added value as much as it is also about great service. “

“More importantly we find customers prefer Cadmus because only we provide a total solution, know the software and switch technology that sit behind the retail terminals, provide ongoing service and products that meet the latest security standards, and we can even provide flexible financing arrangements. Cadmus truly has a competitive advantage by being the one-stop shop for any payment solution, big or small,” says Barnett.
