September Ad of Month Winner

4 October 2005

September Ad of Month Winner

Vodafone’s “Win Stuff with your Bum” newspaper ad is the NAB’s September Ad of Month winner. The ad was created by Lowe Worldwide and media placed by Spark. Judges concluded this ad not only grabbed attention with its interesting and cheeky visual but clearly demonstrated the offer. Also noted was the relevant placement within the sports environment.

A special mention was also given to Yellow Pages “Mad Butcher” ad, which judges felt was nicely crafted from both an art direction and copywriting perspective. This ad was created by Damon O’Leary & Basil Christensen of Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland. September judges included Jeremy Johnston (Sugar); Dave Brown (ELAM); and Sonya Crosby (NAB).

The winning creatives, Jane Langley and Leisa Wall from Lowe, will receive Ticketek vouchers to see a show or concert of their choice. Both ads will be sponsored into 2006 Axis Awards.

The ad will also appear in the “What’s New” section of October AdMedia. Advertisers, agencies and member newspapers are encouraged to nominate newspaper ads. All newspaper ads booked through the NAB are eligible to win Ad of Month.

The NAB newspaper creativity awards (Ad of Month) exemplify the NAB’s commitment to excellence in the craft of print advertising. Innovative creative within newspapers is a powerful force that can deliver maximum reach faster than any other medium. For further information and the full terms and conditions, please visit
