Garuda says “No Penalties”

Garuda Indonesia – 6 October 2005

Garuda says “No Penalties”

Passengers booked to travel to Bali with Garuda Indonesia may reschedule, change their destination or cancel without penalty

Garuda Indonesia has announced its policy for passengers booked to travel to Denpasar, Bali after 16 October.

Passengers with tickets to Bali issued prior 1 October may choose to:

- Defer travel up to 31 March 2006 without penalty, with deferments to be finalised by 30 November 2005. Any additional costs arising from deferment, such as seasonal variations, increased departure taxes or fuel surcharges, will not be covered.

- Transfer existing ticket value to purchase of alternative Garuda Indonesia destinations. Transfers should be finalised by 30 November 2005.

- Cancel travel without penalty, with the exception of any third party penalties. Refund requests must be submitted to Garuda Indonesia by 30 November 2005.

- Travel agents with passengers currently booked to travel on/after 10 October who wish to amend or cancel must ensure that they advise the airline in advance as a “no show” fee of $75 per person will be levied.

“Garuda Indonesia has acted to minimise impact upon travellers, and to maximise opportunities for concerned parties to take their holiday,” says Ms Deanna Mihaljevich, New Zealand Sales Manager for Garuda Indonesia.

Passengers are advised to contact their travel agent to make these amendments.
