Nik Carlson is Centrebet's NZ Idol favourite while a Kiwi is its new Australian Idol market leader.

Centrebet, the only bookmaker taking NZ Idol bets, favours Carlson (1.70) over Rosita Vai (2.00).

Carlson was Centrebet's 4.50 favourite when its book opened in July. Vai ranked fourth at 10.00.

Across the Tasman Sea, Kiwi performer Emily Williams is Centrebet's Australian Idol frontrunner.

Touchdown recipient Williams (3.00) overtakes Dan England (3.75) at the top of Centrebet's list.

"New Zealanders aren't satisfied with their men beating our blokes in Bledisloe Cup matches," says Centrebet's Gerard Daffy. "Now their women want to win our Australian Idol competition."
