NZ Idol Punters Betting as if Nik is a Sure Thing

NZ Idol Punters Betting as if Nik is a Sure Thing

SYDNEY, Oct. 14 /MediaNet International-AsiaNet/ --

Centrebet punters are betting as if odds-on favourite Nik Carlson is a sure
thing to win NZ Idol.

One-way traffic throughout this week has forced Centrebet to cut Nik's
price from 1.70 to 1.50.

Centrebet, the only bookie taking NZ Idol bets, says that Rosita (2.40 from
2.00) is friendless.

"Rosita's breezed through but punters only have eyes for Nik," says
Centrebet's Gerard Daffy.

Kiwi singer Emily Williams is maintaining her position as Centrebet's
Australian Idol favourite.

Centrebet says that Emily is 2.75 to triumph and 34.00 to be the next
contestant eliminated.
