Which websites in NZ grew the most in October?

Which websites in New Zealand grew the most in October compared to the prior month?

Nielsen//NetRatings' Market Intelligence ranking of the sites that showed the biggest growth in October is attached, comparing unique browser visits in October 2005 over September 2005.

The very high growth recorded by popular student portal varsity.co.nz is a good example of how the internet can satisfy on-demand interest in a specialist topic or item of interest. According to Market Intelligence, varsity.co.nz's unique browser traffic grew from 24,442 in September to 79,520 in October. A big proportion of that increase was generated by one story, actually posted earlier in the year, about an irregular speeding infringement notice (http://www.varsity.co.nz/funnies/articles.asp?id=3830), which suddenly attracted high attention from the evening of the 15th for 5 days or so when it received local and international interest.

Such traffic spikes are common for information sites, particularly with humorous or 'oddball' stories that get noticed by popular blogs or portals (especially large overseas sites) and which result in many click-throughs and viral email referrals.
