Entries for New Journalism Prize Invited at NZ Engineering Excellence Awards

Talented media professionals promoting the understanding of engineering will have the chance to compete for a new prize at the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards 2006.

Journalists and program makers will have the opportunity to enter to win a cash prize of $5,000 at neat year’s awards, sponsored by several partners including the Institution of Professional Engineers, which feature the very best of New Zealand’s engineering endeavor and showcase a diverse portfolio of finalists.

Entrants for the Award for Excellence in Engineering Journalism 2006 will be judged on their stories from general, non-trade media featuring engineering through positive, fair and accurate writing. Stories will be evaluated on their focus on engineering as it relates to society and the part it plays in every day life.
