AA Launches New Extended Warranty Insurance
The AA announced today that it will launch a new extended warranty insurance for vehicles on 28 December 2005.
The insurance will allow customers to extend the length of time their vehicle is covered by warranty by 12, 24 or 36 months. AA members will also receive reward points when purchasing the product from an AA Centre.
The new extended warranty insurance is a joint venture between the AA and Vero Warranty Ltd, a subsidiary of Vero Insurance, and replaces the AA’s previous extended warranty insurance underwritten by Swan Insurance.
"The AA believes it is time to further extend our involvement in the warranty insurance market. This product enables the AA to both provide, and be responsible for, high quality and leading insurance products for motorists and dealers," says the AA's General Manager - Technical, Stella Stocks.
“Today’s announcement is yet another exciting development in the growth of the AA and a clear sign of the AA’s ongoing commitment to motorists,” says Ms Stocks.
Ian Charlton, Vero Warranty Ltd's National Sales and Marketing Manager, says "Vero is delighted to be associated with this joint venture partnership with the AA.”
“We intend to build a network of AA Accredited Dealers throughout the country to add value to the highly respected AA brand. Our AA Accredited Dealer network will have the ability to sell a full range of AA branded products that will reflect the full values of the Automobile Association in the eyes of the public," says Mr Charlton.
Further information about the new extended warranty insurance can be found on the AA website, at AA centres throughout the country, or by phoning 0800 500 333 and selecting option 4.
