New web service available from Bayer CropScience

New web service available from Bayer CropScience

Anyone involved in crop protection products (CPP) and their use can now automatically be kept up-to-date with the latest product information, thanks to an innovative development with the Bayer CropScience New Zealand website.

The website, which was launched in October, contains substantial information on all Bayer CropScience products in New Zealand.

Much of this information, such as safety data sheets, label information and product safety cards is updated regularly as new legislation comes into force, and as new uses or products come onto the market.

New Zealand marketing manager Peter Fisher says the company soon realised that customers and distributors needed an easy way of being kept informed of these changes as they occurred.

“After discussions with our web developer Agtech we were able to design a system whereby customers can sign-up via the website to receive emails automatically every time a change is made to product data information or a new product is launched.

“This is an important way of being kept informed, particularly in light of Bayer’s active global pipeline that will see several new products launched globally each year over the next five years.”

Mr Fisher says the web-based automatic update system is not widely used in the agri-chemical industry and in many ways Bayer was leading the way.

“It is important that those involved in advising on, supplying and applying CPP have the latest information at their finger-tips and these days that often means having access to web-based data. I’m sure our automatic email updates will be of immense value to many visitors to our site.”

Those wishing to subscribe to the updates should visit www.bayercropscience.co.nz, register on the homepage and sign-up to receive the email updates.
