Possible Coup in Fiji Media Statement

Possible Coup in Fiji Media Statement

House of Travel's South Pacific Product Manager Lynda Cairns has absolute confidence in people staying or travelling to Fiji despite speculation of a possible coup in Fiji.

"I have spoken with a number of our suppliers in Fiji this morning and there is no evidence of any unrest or concern surrounding the rumours of a possible coup in Fiji. While we have had a few customers contact their local House of Travel outlet, it has been more to seek assurances all is okay with travelling to Fiji. Last night we ran reports and we know we have 252 customers currently in Fiji and a further 330 travelling there in the next 14 days.

Our customers safety is paramount for House of Travel, however at this stage we do not feel it is necessary to contact our customers but if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs change their stance, we have the details ready to make immediate contact with them. As far as we are concerned it is business as usual."
