Big Wednesday $11.2 Million Prize Waiting to be Claimed

A lucky player, or players, who bought a ticket at Martina Four Square & Lotto in Thames, and won $11.2 million plus more than $1.5 million in luxury prizes with Big Wednesday First Division, in last night's draw are still to claim their prize, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Trevor Hall.

The prize is the third largest individual prize ever given out by NZ Lotteries and the first Big Wednesday First Division prize to be won.

Mr Hall says a winning Second Division Big Wednesday ticket, worth $233,979 was also sold at Martina Four Square & Lotto. When purchasing a Big Wednesday ticket, a player can add both heads and tails to their numbers, which would result in them winning both First and Second Division if they have the correct six numbers.

"However, until last night's prize is claimed, it can not be confirmed that the same player, or players, have won both First and Second Division."

Mr Hall says whoever has the winning Big Wednesday prize ticket should immediately write their name on the back of the ticket, keep it in a safe place and contact NZ Lotteries Wellington office.

"We'd like to meet them so that we can talk them through their win and provide them with any advice they require. They are about to begin living the ultimate lifestyle, and we want it to begin in the best way possible," says Mr Hall. The number is 04 802 7000.

The First Big Wednesday First Division winner has won:

They'll also have $11.2 million in the bank and a Porsche and Range Rover in the garage, not to mention a luxury launch in the boat harbour and a holiday home to enjoy.
