Cardrona Announces 2006 Early Bird Prices
Cardrona Alpine Resort has announced its 2006 season pass prices positioning it as the best value ski area in the Southern Lakes with both adult and student passes at just $470, children at $105 and the over 60s at $210.
Cardrona sales and marketing manager, Bruce McGechan, said the prices had stayed almost static from last year, despite a major investment in infrastructure for the 2006 season.
“There’s a lot going on at Cardrona this year with a number of developments in the pipeline, details of which will be released at a later date,” he said. “However, it’s important to us to keep Cardrona accessible to both locals and visitors. Skiing and snowboarding are social pastimes and keeping prices affordable opens the slopes up to a much wider audience.”
The early bird prices are available until 15 March when they rise to $600 for adults and students, $145 for children and $230 for 60+. On 1 May they go to full season prices of $1,140 for adults, $1,030 for students, $250 for children and $340 for 60+.
The season pass announcement coincides with the launch of Cardrona’s new web site that has had a major design revamp. Season passes are available through the web site at www.cardrona.com or from the Wanaka town office. Cardrona is scheduled to open from 23 June to 8 October 2006.
