New Women’s Workshops At Cardrona For 2006
Women skiers and snowboarders will benefit from specialist training with a difference this year at Cardrona Alpine Resort. The new Women’s Workshops launched by the Cardrona High Performance Centre not only provide women-specific instruction but also off-snow training and a massage session.
Running over two days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the workshops offer women the ideal mountain escape with a quality on-snow experience with Cardrona’s most experienced female instructors combined with long leisurely lunches and an indulgent pampering session at the end of each day. Participants will come away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated as well as having new skills and confidence on the slopes.
The workshops are timed to fit in with even the most hectic mother’s lifestyle allowing them to drop their children off at one of Cardrona’s four Kids’ Centres before the workshop starts. The $300 cost includes lessons and lunch on both days as well as the massage and training sessions.
The workshops are run by one of New Zealand’s top female instructors, Bridget Rayward who is also a former national extreme skiing champion and powder eight champion.
“These new workshops provided an exciting new way to enjoy the mountain,” she said. “They allow individuals or groups of friends to explore the mountain, learn new skills in an un-pressured environment and are a great way to spoil yourself for a couple of days.”
Cardrona HPC’s Women’s Workshops will run during school holidays on 4/5 July, 11/12 July and 18/19 July. For more information visit www.cardronahpc.com. Cardrona’s early bird season pass rates are available until 15 March.
