Sky Launches New Look Holmes On Prime

SKY Television today announced that the new look Holmes will launch Wednesday 5 April 2006 at 7:30pm on PRIME.

Over the course of the programme, Paul will chat to prominent New Zealand personalities from the worlds of film, music, business, sport and politics, as well as fascinating figures from overseas. The hour long show will feature a combination of studio-based and on-location interviews.

Commenting on the new show, Paul Holmes says "In short, it's about conversation. It will be a longer interview format. I might interview one guest, or it might be two or three. "

"It is a style of broadcasting that has been missing from the New Zealand television landscape for a number of years. The longer length interview format will give me the opportunity to find out what makes the guests tick," continues Holmes.

SKY Television, CEO, John Fellet says "SKY Television is immensely proud to have Paul as part of its line-up on Prime. No other New Zealand personality has the breadth of experience that Paul does, and he adds credibility and enthusiasm to the channel."

The new set is currently under development. The hour long show will be produced and fronted from SKY's studios in Mt Wellington, Auckland.

The show will be produced by Pip Keane, with the assistance of Production Manager, Monique Caddy. Both are long term members of the Holmes team and worked with Paul at TVNZ and Prime Television.
