Big Wednesday $4.1 Million Ultimate Lifestyle Claimed by Player ‘Who Never Wins Anything
The second Big Wednesday First Division winning ticket, worth a whopping $4.1 million, has been claimed today, nearly a week after the winning draw, says NZ Lotteries Deputy Chief Executive Warren Salisbury.
He says the lucky winner, who bought their ticket at Grey Lynn Stationers in Auckland, has won cash and luxury prizes worth a total of $4.1 million after winning First Division on the draw held on 22 March.
The winner, an Aucklander who wishes to remain anonymous, says he had an ‘inkling’ of the win after the draw, but wasn’t completely sure he had won until the ticket was checked.
“I have never won anything before, and I really couldn’t believe that the winner could be me,” says the player.
“I still can’t believe it. It just seems incredible that someone like me, who never wins, has won this huge prize,” he says.
While coming to grips
with his big win, the lucky Big Wednesday player says that
his early thoughts are that his huge win will be shared with
family.
The Big Wednesday First Division winner has won:
- $2,569,628;
- Porsche 911 Carrera;
- Range Rover Vogue V8;
- $50,000 worth of luxury travel every year for five years;
- $250,000 American Express Platinum card;
- Mustang luxury launch; and a
- $500,000 holiday home.
The prize is the second Big Wednesday First Division prize to be won, with a ticket sold at Martina Four Square in Thames winning more than $13 million in cash and luxury prizes just six weeks ago.
