New Abracadabra lingerie accessories to be launched at Auckland’s annual Wedding Expo this weekend
New Abracadabra lingerie accessories are to be launched at Auckland’s big annual Wedding Expo at the Showgrounds on Sunday.
Abracadabra produce the country’s fastest growing no back, no strap, stick-on reusable bra that was a hit at the recent Girls Day Out in Auckland.
They will unveil more new items for the first time when it exhibits at the Wedding Expo this weekend.
The magical items that are about to take lingerie market by storm include silicone push-up pads and silicone nipple covers.
Lingerie fashion designer and Abracadabra director Auckland businesswoman Vivian Zhong said the push up pads are in demand for women who want to fill up their bustline.
``They fit inside the lower section of the bra or bikini top for a natural lift and fullness. The provide a natural curvy appearance and are becoming really popular.
``The nipple covers are great for wearing under sheer clothing, t-shirts, any tight-fitting clothing or swimsuits.
``We will also soon be launching soft and wider comfy straps, clear straps and bra extenders.
She said some accessories were designed to enhance the female figure, while others would solve problems or meet certain needs.
The Abracadabra comfy straps are 100 percent silicone and are designed to relieve irritation or pain caused by bra straps. The clear bra straps are an alternative to unsightly bra straps and are almost undetectable.
Finally the bra extenders will be welcomed by women who find the bra back too tight.
The biggest selling Abracadabra item is the stick-on, strapless backless bra that meets the demand for weddings, school balls, and parties or for everyday wear.
Zhong has sold more than 12,000 light self-adhesive bras and silicone bras since June last year.
Abracadabra light bras are sold in Farmers stores, other leading department stores and most lingerie boutiques nationally.
In January, Abracadabra was the preferred supplier of backless, strapless bras, for the Farmers' annual fashion show.
``We are also planning to develop a special bra for women who have lost their breast due to cancer,’’ Zhong said.
Hundred percent NZ owned Abracadabra is an official sponsor of the Magic netball team this season.
``We want to be the No.1 brand in the self-adhesive bra and lingerie accessories in Australia, New Zealand and Asian market,’’ Zhong said.
