Seven Times #1 For Canterbury Real Estate Legend

NEWS RELEASE
Seven Times #1 For Canterbury Real Estate Legend

For Release: 1 May 2006

Focusing on consistently providing the most professional real estate experience in all markets over the last seven years has paid off for well known property personality, Alison Aitken from Harcourts Grenadier (Christchurch City) who was announced as Harcourts Canterbury’s Number One Sales Consultant for an unprecedented seventh year in a row.

The announcement was part of Harcourts’ 2005-2006 regional End of Year Awards at the Christchurch Convention Centre this morning with close to 600 Harcourts team members attending. Announced Second and Third were Mark O’Loughlin from Harcourts Papanui, and Grant Lange from Harcourts Avonhead (who also achieved Top Rural Sales Consultant for the region).

With now seven years at the top in Canterbury and three years as Number One for Harcourts New Zealand (1999-2003), Alison Aitken is renowned city and nation wide for her exceptional focus, commitment to customer excellence, and huge capacity for work.

While accepting her award, Ms Aitken noted how she had particularly enjoyed the changing market of the last year enabling her to provide a level of service and expertise the public was finding more critical to achieve their property goals. With most of her business ‘repeats and referrals’, a common trend was clients increasingly expecting industry expertise and marketing knowledge to provide a high quality end result. She concluded by thanking her team and Harcourts for their ongoing support and professionalism.

Harcourts New Zealand CEO, Bryan Thomson, said, “Around 75 percent of respondents in a recent AC Nielsen survey identified professionalism, training and qualification of the real estate sales consultant they employed as being very important. Couple this with a vast track record of success and you are describing Alison Aitken. Her award winning performances are legendary but what is equally important is her commitment to produce the very best results for her clients, which is why people go back to her time after time. Harcourts is very proud to once again have Alison Aitken as our Canterbury champion.”

The ceremony was the first of four regional awards being held around the country this week as a build-up to the highly anticipated National Awards at Harcourts’ Annual Conference at the Christchurch Convention Centre 15-17 May 2006 where close to 1,000 Harcourts delegates are expected to attend.
