Senior public lawyer joins Chen Palmer team

Robert Buchanan, a public law specialist with more than 20 years experience spanning Britain and New Zealand, will be joining the Chen Palmer team as a Consultant in July, Mai Chen announced today.

"Mr Buchanan's credentials make him a very good fit for the work Chen Palmer attracts and we are delighted to get him," she said.

"He comes to us from eight years in the Office of the Auditor General where, as Assistant Auditor-General Legal, he has developed a first hand knowledge of many public sector issues across both central and local government.

Mr Buchanan has also been a Director of the Law Commission and has worked in the Ombudsman's Office.

"He has worked extensively with select committees, Ministers and chief executives of government agencies and is an expert in Administrative Law."

Mr Buchanan's engagement brings to 26 the legal and consultancy staff at Chen Palmer and continues the firm's growth trajectory.
