Chamber Welcomes Government Review of Regulatory Framework

The Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Lianne Dalziel’s announcement on the Regulatory Framework’s Review.

“If the Government is serious about improving productivity in the economy, it is essential that it takes a serious look at regulation to ensure that it is all necessary, and that it is being enforced in the most efficient way possible. The announcement this evening suggests that the Government is indeed serious in this review”, said Charles Finny, CEO.

“We are particularly pleased that the Government is looking at a fast track process, and that it is encouraging companies to draw problems to the attention of Chambers of Commerce, so that they can be looked at as candidates for fast track action. We are frequently fielding complaints from members and look forward to working closely with the Government on immediate change to unnecessary red tape and regulation,” Charles Finny concluded.
