Media Search NZ adopts Media Monitors brand
As part of its ongoing consolidation, Media Monitors has announced the full integration and rebranding of its New Zealand operation, Media Search.
From 29 May, Media Search will be known as Media Monitors. Media Monitors bought into Media Search in September 2004, and the company services more than one thousand of New Zealand’s major businesses and government departments.
Media Monitors Chief Executive, John Croll, said today that the rebranding of the New Zealand operation would ensure Trans-Tasman brand consistency.
“This move recognises the contribution that New Zealand makes to the regional market for news and information. It is a natural progression for us. New Zealand and Australia have an increasingly close relationship, from the newsmakers through to the companies who own and operate the print, digital and broadcast media outlets in both countries.
“This integration will improve our content coverage for New Zealand clients and ensures a more streamlined and consistent product. It builds a stronger infrastructure around our core business, which is the targeting, monitoring and analysis of media, irrespective of geographic location. It will be further enhanced by continuing investment by Media Monitors in innovative digital monitoring technology.
“It also confirms the importance of having a strong, identifiable, regional brand in the global market for information technology and news gathering. The integration of our New Zealand operation, along with our recent acquisition of Rehame, means that Media Monitors is now Australasia’s leading media intelligence brand,” Mr Croll said.
Media Monitors General Manager New Zealand, Brendan Swale, said that today’s announcement “marks the completion of a Trans-Tasman integration project that has been underway since last year. A closer day-to-day link with our Australian operation will add to the local knowledge, expertise and local service offered by our New Zealand-based team.
“We have a number of exciting developments in the pipeline for our New Zealand clients. They will now be able to take advantage of the more comprehensive Media Monitors product, and the broader reach of our new brand,” Mr Swale said.
