New Zealand’s largest private hospital group selects IBA

IBA Health Limited (ASX:IBA) Australia’s leading e-health company has announced one of the most substantial multi hospital patient management projects to be awarded in New Zealand. Southern Cross Hospitals, New Zealand’s largest private hospital operator, has signed a licence and services agreement with a value in excess of $1 million together with a 5 year maintenance and support agreement valued in excess of $0.6 million, bringing the entire deal to over $1.6 million

Southern Cross operates New Zealand's largest national private surgical hospital group. This network extends from Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Wellington in the North Island; to Christchurch and Invercargill in the South Island. IbaPAS, IBA’s enterprise wide web based patient management system will be implemented across the hospital group, operating from a single data centre.

Chief Operating Officer of Southern Cross Hospitals, Terry Moore said, “The IBA system is the most suitable patient administration system for the Southern Cross Hospital business. The IBA system will afford us enhanced functionally for: theatre management, interfacing with other clinical systems and contract management, while providing an excellent base to build an electronic health record.

“This implementation will form the basis of our network-wide strategy of improving the flow of administrative data and health information, giving nurses, medical specialists and allied health professionals greater flexibility in how they deliver information”, concluded Mr Moore.
