What
can’t you do via text?
As of Monday 5 June new
software released by Comacc will allow employers to track
employee attendance, receive timesheets, manage payrolls and
monitor job costing via text on their employee’s mobile
phones or PDA’s.
“We wanted to create software compatible with any payroll or job costing system to receive information sent from ordinary cellphones, providing an intelligent solution for managing payrolls in the age of advanced technology,” says Comacc Managing Director Steve Nathan.
“Utilising text is a logical progression for companies that want to move with the times, and TxTTimesheet™ makes it as simple as type and send,” he says.
Now employees in the field can send hourly, daily or weekly timesheets via text, automatically enter the timesheets ready for your review, or clock in and out in real time from offsite.
TxTTimesheet™ provides electronic data capture that uses text messages to create payroll timesheets, real time electronic time clock data, job costing records and can be adapted to include automatic time stamping, overtime and allowances or hours by day and/or job.
TxTTimesheet™ also provides and option whereby staff use their cellphone to simply text S (start) and F (finish) to clock on and off in real time.
Data can go straight into payroll or via a PC based timesheet calculator that allows information management and the application of simple overtime rules.
“And if you want to use a PDA you can download software that will walk you through the steps required to create and send a text message,” says Nathan.
Different staff can use the version that best suits their requirements and there is no expensive hardware to buy, making the system an affordable and flexible solution for companies with people in the field.
“There will be no more time wasted entering timesheets and chasing staff who haven’t handed theirs in,” says Nathan.
