Tourism Australia Appoints Partnership Development Manager

Tourism Australia (New Zealand) has appointed Andrea Stephen as Partnership Development Manager.

Andrea will be responsible for leading the successful Aussie Specialist Program and related marketing activities. Aussie Specialists are trained and certified by Tourism Australia and are the best source of information on how to make the most of the extensive experiences available in Australia.

In addition, Andrea will manage other travel trade engagement and partnership marketing initiatives including developing commercial relationships to help promote the successful annual Australia Week events.

Andrea joins Tourism Australia from a leading incentive house where she was responsible for delivering reward and incentive programmes across a broad range of industries. She has 18 years of travel and tourism industry experience in both operational and management capacities.

“We are delighted to welcome someone of Andrea’s calibre to local Tourism Australia team. She will be a great asset with her wealth of travel industry experience,” said Vito Anzelmi, Tourism Australia’s Regional Manager New Zealand.
“Her addition to the team further strengthens our ability to deliver innovative and successful initiatives in the New Zealand market.”

Andrea began her career in the retail and corporate travel sector before specialising in the events market, including managing an Australian Rugby World Cup programme for a major wholesale organisation.

Andrea will commence her new role on July 10, 2006.
