A lucky Lotto player who purchased their Lotto ticket at Books and Lotto in Newtown, Wellington has become Lotto's latest multi-millionaire after winning $2 million in Lotto First Division tonight, NZ Lotteries Deputy Chief Executive Warren Salisbury said.

Lotto Powerball was not won this weekend, jackpotting to $2.5 million in next week's draw. Strike also jackpotted and is worth $200,000 in next week's draw.

Another winner from tonight's draw was Paul Kane from Auckland, who spun and won a Bentley live on Lotto's Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

This week's Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Caltex Rimutaka in Upper Hutt. The serial number is 306-02729003-20XX.
