Appointment demonstrates commitment to upskilling

Former head of the Ray White City Apartment Sales office, Bryan Scott, has been appointed to the company’s national development team to co-ordinate its big push into Northland, the Coromandel and various zones throughout Auckland.

Ray White CEO Carey Smith says he is delighted to have Bryan driving the development and growth of new and existing offices in the region, particularly at a time when a core objective of the company is to up skill new Ray White agents (from the day they enter the business until the day they retire) – and Bryan is ideally equipped to help accomplish that task.

“It is important for the real estate industry to pay more attention to the skills of our agents. At Ray White we are taking a leadership role in ensuring that our agents are provided with training throughout the cycle of their careers – rather than just at the beginning, or on an intermittent basis.

“It is important to ensure that each agent receives personal training to fit their personality, style and priorities, while also equipping them with good business skills to ensure they retire successful – even top performers should be given continual and ongoing training.

“As a company we fully support new developments by the Real Estate Institute of NZ to up skill and train the industry. Bryan’s experience, business development and training skills will be key to realising that priority,” said Smith.

Bryan Scott said he was excited to be playing a pivotal role in helping Ray White to continue its strong growth record.

“It isn’t just about more agents, more offices and more sales. Training, business development and a highly skilled management team are key drivers to the company’s success and its place as an industry leader, particularly in customer service,” said Scott.

Previously Scott was part of the prestigious graduate intake programme with Proctor & Gamble before being promoted to Business Development Manager for the company, also with graduate training responsibilities.

Having worked as an Account Director for British Airways’ loyalty management programme – Bryan is passionate about business development and ongoing professional education.

Prior to heading up the Ray White City Apartment Sales office, Scott had already established a successful track record with the Ray White Group’s Birkenhead team where he achieved numerous sales awards.

Scott’s appointment brings the Ray White development team up to five following the recent appointment of Corinna Mansell to the team.
