Fresh Direction for Nationwide Finance

Fresh Direction for Nationwide Finance

Nationwide Finance Limited has a highly experienced banking and finance figure as its new Chief Executive Officer.  Steve Wilson has an impressive 19 year track record in the financial services sector including senior positions at Westpac and BNZ.

Mr Wilson is enthusiastic about the opportunities for Nationwide Finance, describing it as a business that successfully combines a 33 year history with sound New Zealand values and a clear vision for the future.  He believes the business is in an excellent position to capitalise on its longevity and reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading finance companies.

“The challenge for me as the new Chief Executive is to take this established and well regarded diversified New Zealand finance company and help it realise its full potential.  Nationwide Finance has been a quiet achiever in the finance sector for more than three decades.  There is great opportunity to further grow the business through the introduction of new and targeted products that meet the changing needs of the small to medium size business owners, and property investors and developers who are our client base.”

Nationwide Finance will be pursuing new business strategies that will lock in the achievements of the past and position the company for future growth and success.  While the Nationwide Finance brand will always stand for professionalism, strength and specialist business finance, clients and investors will notice a refreshed look and feel to the brand in coming months.

Mr Wilson is backed up by a skilled management team at Nationwide Finance, including Andrew Miller (previously CFO of The Equitable Group) and Senior Commercial Lenders Steve Olson, Barry Lyver and Gavin Berman.
