Mystery Creek Boat Show Tide of Tickets
A slice of summer fun will come to Mystery Creek Events Centre 11 – 13 August 2006 when the Boat and Fishing Show returns to the Waikato with the support and backing of the Marine Industry Association (MIA).
50,000 free tickets will be snapped up out of top Boating and Fishing publications in July and August, with boaties, fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts and families setting sail for Mystery Creek Events Centre for the show running 11 – 13 August 2006.
A special feature of this year’s Show will be a celebration of the centenary of the outboard motor. One hundred years ago, the desire to bring his wife Bess an ice-cream from across the lake led Ole Evinrude to create and use the first outboard motor. The Boat and Fishing Show will celebrate this milestone with a unique display of vintage outboard motors and rare archive footage.
There will be hundreds of boats on display as well as the latest in fishing equipment, chandlery, clothing and accessories. Major marine companies including Rollos Marine, Cambridge Marine, Surtees Boats, Boat City, Marco/Peninsula Marine, Sportcraft Boats, Thompson Marine, Gulfland Marine, Mastertech Marine and Andrew Fink Marine will be displaying the latest boats and equipment at fantastic prices.
For the first time in 2006 the show expands to offer visitors the best in 4wheel drive vehicles, recreational vehicles and motorhomes, camping trekking and water sports and activities in addition to boating and fishing.
Families will also set a course for the Boat
Show with games and activities planned throughout the event
and kids will get in for free. Schools are already involved
with the “Skool of Fish” fish design competition entries
on display.
The Boat and Fishing Show will splash down at Mystery Creek Events Centre, South of Hamilton from 11 – 13 August 2006. See the best marine and outdoors products from 9.30am to 8.00pm on Friday and 9.30am to 5.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. See you there!
