Legal Seminar - AC/DC of music industry contracts

Legal Seminar - The AC/DC of basic music industry contracts!

IMNZ are pleased to announce that they are hosting a seminar on Monday August 28 with David Vodicka, Chair of AIR (the Australian equivalent of IMNZ). David is also an entertainment lawyer and one of the Directors of Australian independent label Rubber Records.

In this seminar, David will outline some of the legal requirements relating to your business and the provision of your business' services in the music industry.

The session will include a brief explanation of the main contract types and contract terms which musicians, managers, writers and record labels may be faced with, including recording, management, publishing, pressing and distribution and licensing agreements. It will also cover new contract trends and other industry developments, both in Australia and around the world. There will be a Q & A session at the end.

This seminar will be very useful for musicians, managers, labels and distributors. It is an invaluable session for anyone planning to release, tour or do any sort of business in Australia.

The seminar will be happening from 6pm on Monday August 28, at the NZ Music Industry Commission offices - 7 Great North Rd, Ponsonby.

Please RSVP to Renee Jones at IMNZ (renee@nzmusic.org.nz) by 4pm Friday August 25
