Sealegs Appoints United States Agent
Auckland, 12 September 2006: Sealegs International Ltd has today announced that it has appointed Mr Klaus G.E. Baumann as its general agent for the development of sales to the U.S. Coast Guard and related Government Agencies in North America.
Klaus Baumann is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer and is also the Chief of International Affairs with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr Baumann will initially evaluate and identify the potential of Sealegs amphibious marine craft with US Coast Guard district and sector commands.
The president of Bausanit Inc, Klaus Baumann saw the Sealegs Amphibious Boat in New Zealand at an International Coast Guard meeting and was very impressed with its performance and suitably for Coast Guard near shore operational use. On signing the general agent agreement, Mr Baumann said “the unique amphibious abilities of Sealegs boats make them suitable for deployment in many rescue and support roles”.
Sealegs CEO, Mr David McKee Wright, said “This agreement represents a potential beachhead into the North American market and we are pleased to be working with such an experienced partner with extensive contacts within the US Coast Guard and related US Government Agencies”.
