Plantation Business Challenge to encourage Pacific students
18 September 2006
A great way to encourage senior students about becoming business entrepreneurs is challenge them to create their own business.
Fellow stakeholders Manukau City Council, Pacific Business Trust, Manukau Institute of Technology and Auckland University of Technology have invited senior students from various schools around South Auckland to take part in the Plantation Business Challenge. -A programme that was created in 2005 to introduce Business as a viable option to senior students.
Through this project, stakeholders work alongside each other to develop business leaders of tomorrow, -Today!.
The Trust’s CEO, Paul Muller, says “The Plantation Business Challenge is an opportunity for students, families and us to invest in their futures. The returns for students are personal gain in further education and hopefully a business of their own in the future.”
The Plantation Business Challenge begins with a
family evening for the students, parents and stakeholders to
become familiar with each other.
On the evening
encouragement from guest speakers -who are business owners
themselves, are specifically chosen for the cause. This
takes place on the 20th September 2006. Parents and senior
students will be informed of what they can expect over the
week beginning 25th – 29th September
2006.
